Rising Through Stillness: The Power of Quiet Strength

There’s a beauty in silence that many of us forget to honor. We live in a world that demands our noise, our hustle, our constant proving of worth. But sometimes, rising doesn’t look like running. Sometimes, it looks like stillness.

As women, as mothers, as daughters, as healers of everyone else’s wounds, we often forget that our power does not always come from doing more. It comes from knowing when to pause. When to breathe. When to listen to our own heart and body whispering, “I need you.”

For me, learning to rise through stillness came in the moments when I felt most broken. When I thought I had nothing left to give. When the world expected me to smile, but inside I was unraveling. Instead of forcing myself to be loud, I allowed myself to be quiet. I turned to prayer, journaling, and long walks under the sun. I returned to the roots of my culture — the simple rituals of tea brewed with cinnamon and hibiscus, the grounding presence of the hummingbird, the reminder that ancestors once looked to nature for healing.

Stillness is not weakness. Stillness is a declaration:

  • That you are worthy even when you rest.

  • That your healing deserves priority.

  • That rising is not always loud, but it is always powerful.

Today, I want you to remember that your rise does not need to look like hers, theirs, or anyone else’s. Maybe your rise looks like a morning stretch before the kids wake up. Maybe it’s saying no to what drains you. Maybe it’s giving yourself permission to heal at your own pace.

The truth is this: quiet strength is still strength. And in that quiet, you will find clarity, peace, and the power to rise even higher.

So today, Chula, choose stillness. Choose to rise softly but surely. Your story deserves that space. 🌿✨
